- Create a Docusign account
2. Install the DocuSign eSignature App in Salesforce
- Log in to Salesforce: Ensure you have the necessary administrative privileges to install new applications.
- Visit the Salesforce AppExchange: Search for “DocuSign eSignature” in the AppExchange.
- Install the App: Click the “Get It Now” button, select the environment (Production or Sandbox), and follow the prompts to complete the installation.
Navigate to Docusign Apps Launcher.
3. Connect with a Docusign account
- Start with Docusign setup
- Select Log in to DocuSign
- Select an Account (The Docusign account created in step 1)
- Allow Access
4. Docusign User management
- This step involves creating new users.
- Even if we have installed Docusign signature for all users, we still have to configure the permissions for users to use this feature. So navigate to User management and click ‘Manage’.
- Click ‘Add Users’ to add more users to the Docusign environment.
- We can choose a single user by selecting user and giving the name or email address of the user.
- To give access to multiple users, you can either choose Profile or Permission set.
- For the new users, we can either give permissions to be an administrator or as a user only. An administrator can generate templates, delete templates, manage other users etc. But a user can only send documents or review documents.
- Click Apply.
