The Encompass 360 Administrator is responsible for monitoring, modifying, and improving the Ellie Mae Encompass Systems, ensuring continued operation and enhanced user and system efficiencies.

Experience and Qualifications for Ellie Mae’s Encompass 360 Administrator

• 3 to 5 years of Ellie Mae Encompass® 360 administration, development, and support experience.
• Proficient in VB.net coding to develop custom input forms and advanced business rules.
• Thorough understanding of the loan process and mortgage production experience.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
• Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Experience supporting Centerwise, ePass, and DocMagic or equivalent is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010+ and SharePoint 2010+ is preferred.
• Familiarity with Encompass’s back-end environment (MS SQL 2005+, IIS, Windows 7/2008 R2+) is a bonus, but not required.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Encompass 360 Administrator

• Work with senior mortgage department personnel to translate their requirements into Encompass workflow.
• Automate tasks with advanced business rules and ensure accuracy of existing ones.
• Customize Encompass using plugins with the Encompass SDK.
• Monitor and coordinate the integration of third-party interactions.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies and procedures.
• Gather requirements from department managers, end-users, and stakeholders.
• Design and develop solutions for system workflows, pipeline views, input forms, reports, dashboards, and print forms.
• Ensure the proposed solutions work as desired through system analysis.
• Manage QA testing and user acceptance testing.
• Provide recommendations to optimize the Encompass system.
• Develop functional specifications, test plans, and change requests.
• Analyze workflow and user interaction to identify training needs.
• Create and manage company and user setups, roles, and personas.
• Keep loan setup settings updated based on business needs.
• Manage the document library and create custom documents as needed.
• Work towards easy integration with third-party vendors through custom integration.
• Collaborate with technical writers to document system updates and new features.
• Provide support and training to end-users on new and existing customizations.
• Manage and clear support tickets in a timely manner, maintaining a working relationship with Ellie Mae technical support.
• Generate and maintain both general and custom reports for different business groups.

The Encompass 360 LOS Developer is responsible for developing and customizing the Encompass Loan Origination System to meet the specific needs of the mortgage industry.

Experience and Qualifications for Ellie Mae’s Encompass 360 LOS Developer

• 3-5 years of experience in software development, preferably in the mortgage industry.
• Proficiency in VB.net or C# programming languages and experience in Visual Studio and JavaScript development.
• Comprehensive understanding of the mortgage industry life cycle, loan products, and policies.
• Experience in writing and maintaining REST + SOAP-based APIs.
• Familiarity with customizing code for the Encompass Loan Origination System.
• Encompass Developer Essentials Certification or Encompass Administrator Certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with Mortgage Software Applications, including ICE Mortgage Technology® products such as Encompass 360, Encompass SDK, TPO Connect, Velocify, and Developer Connect.
• Ability to manage active initiatives, including support and project-related tasks.
• Experience working on projects that significantly impact business operations.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Encompass 360 LOS Developer

• Provide third-tier production support for Business Analysts (BAs) and Deployment staff.
• Develop and document the functionality of applications.
• Conduct peer code reviews to ensure adherence to proper coding practices.
• Analyze and coordinate system updates within the customized environment, liaising with vendors.
• Analyze production defects and institute processes to mitigate future risks.
• Cultivate teamwork and collaboration, communicating effectively to set goals, resolve issues, and make decisions that enhance the Loan Origination system and organizational effectiveness.
• Collaborate directly with the Business to understand and offer technical solutions that align with business requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, as well as business and IT teams, to establish project timelines.
• Contribute to projects, such as the creation of an independent fee calculation engine to provide borrowers with precise fee schedules.
• Fulfill special tasks as assigned by the manager when needed.
• Contribute to the introduction of new features within the Encompass loan origination system, such as:
  • Creating proprietary data extract scripts to retrieve Encompass data for consumption by various third-party applications.
  • Streamlining the loan creation process through the implementation of the Encompass SDK standalone app.
  • Automating new features, processes, and workflows for loans.
  • Designing and implementing new screens, calculations, and permission structures.
  • Writing form-based code within Encompass to capture Underwriter (UW) productivity.
  • Executing updates to the Encompass SDK.
  • Establishing web APIs for Encompass consumption using the .NET Core 2.0 framework.
  • Designing custom plugins for Encompass.
