Steps to Integrate Twilio with Salesforce
- Set Up Twilio Account: Start by creating an account on Twilio. You’ll receive an Account SID and Auth Token, which are necessary for the integration.
- Install Twilio for Salesforce Package:
- Visit Salesforce AppExchange.
- Search for and install the “Twilio for Salesforce” package.
- Follow the installation instructions provided by Salesforce.
- Configure Twilio in Salesforce:
- Navigate to the Twilio Configuration page within Salesforce.

Enter your Twilio Account SID and Auth Token.

- Click on Validate Credentials. Now the configuration settings are completed.
4. Create a messaging service:
A messaging service is a collection of Twilio phone numbers equipped with software to prevent text encoding issues, offer international numbers, and scale messaging capacity efficiently.
- To create a messaging service, open the Messaging Services page in the Twilio Console.
- Click on Create new Messaging Service :

- Choose a name for your messaging service, such as “Connect to Salesforce.” Once you’ve selected the name, click the blue “Create Messaging Service” button to set up your new service.

5. Add phone numbers to your messaging service:
- In the Console’s left-hand sidebar, click on Explore Products
- Scroll to the Super Network section, then click on Numbers.
- Click the Buy a number button.
- Use the interface to search for a phone number, and once you’ve found the one you need, click Buy to purchase it.

- Return to your messaging service by clicking on Services under Messaging in the Console’s left-hand sidebar.
- Locate your messaging service by name, click on it, and then select Sender Pool from the sidebar. Next, click the Add Senders button.

- In the Add Senders panel, ensure that the Sender Type is set to Phone Number, then click Continue.

- Now select the number you just bought, and click the Add Phone Number button
