A new document viewer is available in the Encompass eFolder and on the Documents page on Encompass TPO Connect websites. This guide describes how to use the Encompass 360 Document Viewer and eliminates the limitations and issues that occurred with the Adobe-based viewer that was previously used to view file attachments.

Annotations
Use the Annotation icon to add an annotation to the file.
To Add an Annotation:
- Click the Annotation Your mouse pointer turns into an arrow and a circle with a plus sign.
Click the location in the viewing panel where you want to add the The annotation pop-up window opens with a date and time stamp at the top.
Select one of three Visibility options on the annotation window to configure who can view the note and whether the note is included in files that are sent electronically to non-Encompass users:
- Personal – The annotation is visible only to the user who added It is not included in sent files.
- Internal – The annotation is visible only to Encompass It is not included in sent files. This is the default option.
- Public – The annotation is visible to all viewers and included sent

- Type your annotation in the text box, and then click Save.

To View Annotations:
- Place your mouse pointer over an annotation symbol to view the author’s name and the text message.
To view all the annotations in the file, click the Annotation icon on the upper-right of the viewing screen. All the annotations on all page in the file display in a panel below the icon.
To Edit an Annotation:
- To open the pop-up window for an individual annotation, click the Annotation icon on a file
- Or, to open the panel that displays all the annotations in the file, click the Annotation icon on the upper-right of the viewing window.
- Click the drop-down list to select a new visibility option (Personal, Internal, or Public).
To delete the annotation, click the Delete icon and then click Delete on the confirmation
Download Files
Use the Download button to save a PDF version of the file to your computer.
To Download the File:
- Click the Download icon and then select Original file or PDF.

- Original file – Save the original document in its original file format without any of your
- PDF – Create a PDF of the file that includes your most recent edits and
- When the Save window displays, navigate to the location where you wean to save the file, and then click Save.
Search for Text Within a File Attachment
Use the text search capability to find words or phrases within a file attachment.
To Search for Text:
- Open a file attachment, and then click in the file attachment viewing
- Press the Ctrl+F
- Enter a search word or phrase, and then click the Find icon (magnifying glass).
Edit Files from the Thumbnail Panel
Use the document viewer thumbnail panel to delete, rotate, or move pages within a file attachment. In the File Manager, you can also use the thumbnail panel to split pages from a file attachment. You can then turn the pages into a new file attachment or append the page to an existing file attachment.
After making your edits to the pages, click the Check Mark icon at the top of the thumbnail panel to apply and save your changes. Or click the X icon to discard your changes.
If you edit the pages in a file attachment and then start a new task without saving or discarding your changes, a confirmation message prompts you to save or discard the changes.
To Rotate or Delete a Single Page:
- Place your mouse pointer over the thumbnail for a

Or select the thumbnail, and then click the Rotate Left, Rotate Right, or Delete icon at the top of the thumbnail panel.
To Rotate or Delete Multiple Pages:
- Select the pages to edit:
- Click the Rotate Left, Rotate Right, or Delete icon at the top of the viewing window to apply the action to all the selected pages.

To Move Pages:
- To move one or more pages to a new location within the file attachment, select the thumbnails you want to move.
- Drag and drop the pages to a new location.
