We have learned about Einstein copilot actions in How Einstein Copilot Works part 1 – Mortgage Banking Technology | Origination Strategy Consulting (takefiveconsulting.com). The functionality of launching actions during conversations with an end user is facilitated by Einstein Copilot’s reasoning engine, otherwise called ‘planner service’. This engine orchestrates the execution of user requests through a structured process. Here’s how it operates:
- Interprets the user’s request to discern their intent accurately.
- Dynamically formulates a plan to achieve the user’s desired outcome.
- Identifies and initiates the appropriate action or sequence of actions required to fulfill the user’s goal.
In essence, the reasoning engine collaborates with the Language Model (LLM) behind the scenes, ensuring a seamless execution of user queries and instructions within Einstein Copilot.

- Loan officer enters Request: Summarise the loan record of John Smith.
- Reasoning Engine
- Plan is Created: Einstein copilot will start analyzing the request. Then a plan is created to check the user permissions, to find the loan record, summarize it and to return the result.
- Actions are launched: The plan is put to action in the next step. ie., Identify the loan record by Name (here it is John Smith). Then copilot will summarize the loan record details.
